Frequently Asked Questions – F.A.Q
A few of our most asked questions.
Do you take a deposit ?
Yes we take a deposit from all our hires, this secures your date in our calendar and prevents us from double booking. If you pay your deposit, rest assured that your date is secured.
Deposits are calculated on the full cost of hire, to be determined. Our minimum deposit is just £20 for light up numbers.
Are you insured ?
Yes we carry £5,000,000 in public liability insurance.
Do you have PAT test certificates ?
We have all our electrical equipment PAT tested on a yearly basis. Most venues like to see a PAT test report, this can be made available to your venue in PDF format. It’s just a simple case of emailing the PAT test report to your venue. Once the deposit is paid, just ask and i will forward it on to you.
How long can i hire your equipment ?
Our equipment can be hired for any period of time. Most often it is based on overnight hire. Although most equipment is picked up on the same night after your event. This is so we can clean it and get it prepped ready for the following day/nights hire.
Can i transport your equipment to another venue ?
There is a strict no transport rule. Your equipment is hired to a specific venue, the equipment must remain at the venue it was dropped off at. Any equipment transported to another venue will be seen as a secondary hire and charged at the full price.
Am i liable for any loss/damage of the hire equipment ?
The person who hires the equipment is liable for any and all loss or damage to the equipment whilst on hire. Whether they or their guests damage the equipment, the liability rests with the person who hired the equipment.
How long does it take to set up ?
It depends on what is hired. Simple hires like light up numbers takes about 10 minutes. It is just a matter of plugging them in. As for balloon displays, they can take anywhere from 2-4hrs for a full display.
Can i fix any other decorations to your equipment ?
The short answer is no. In order to keep our equipment in the best possible condition, we do not allow additional fixtures or fittings, including the use of screws, pins, blue tack, sellotape etc, as these all cause damage in one way or another.
There are “D” ring fixing anchors on the back of our light up numbers & letters should u wish to fix your own balloons too them.
